  1. Don't be discouraged! One of the hard things about weight loss is trying not to have our emotions be determined by a scale. It's just another tool to help you, not the beginning or the end.

Having said that, I have to ask -- you're up 2 lbs according to what scale? Were you on the same scale the last time you weighed yourself? And did you weigh yourself at the same of day both times?

I jump on the scale first thing every single morning. It's in my bathroom. But if I forget (and sometimes I do) I can't go back to the bathroom 10 minutes later -- it won't be the same as it would have been before I got myself up and moving around. And if I weigh myself at the end of the day, forget it! I'll be up 10 lbs. It's crazy.

it was the same scale and around the same time maybe 15 min differance

  2. Well,, here I am again writing another entry looking for suggestions. For the last week I have been doing the South Beach Diet and Iam not having great results at all. I have only had one fill so the restriction is not there.. Hence why I decided to incorparate the South Beach Diet. I did the SB before lapband about 5 years ago I got amazing results but just like every attempt to loose weight, I had no trouble loosing it, it was keeping it off..

So I guess what I am wanting to know are there some of you that maybe started to loose the weight a couple months into this. I DO NOT AND REFUSE to be another nightline story where "she actually gained weight with the lap band"

I thought cutting the carbs and adding the Protein would help. I was banded in Oct. but seriously thought I would see better results than this. All that I have lost came from the pre op.. Ugg...

Feeling a bit discouraged I guess. Wondering if I am doomed to be fat the rest of my life.

I know what you mean, when I was on my liquid diet right after surgery I lost weight really fast, but know that I went to mushy foods I have gained two pounds back I'm walking and trying to eat right, but I'm very discourage the Dr will not even do a fill till Dec 29

  3. It is too soon for me since I was banded on 11/29. My surgeon adds Fluid to the band during surgery. I am at the stage where I am wondering if I did the right thing. I am tired of liquids. Tired of the gas. Tired of head hunger but not tired of seeing the scale move! I am just waiting for this part to get easier.

The first week i thought to my self was this really worth it. My body hurt and I felt really tired. But know I feel so much better since I am on mushy foods.
