Did you try Care Credit? I tried United Health Medical because my husband already had a Care Credit card. He asked for an increase in his limit because it was at $4100 and we hadn't used it in 2 years. They only increased it to $7500. United Health Medical was going to give me $7600. I applied for my own Care Credit. I asked for $18,500 as that's how much my surgery will be and they gave me a limit of $16,700!!
So, with Care Credit, his card and mine, we have it covered.
    Good luck!

Thank you for posting! I'm not sleeved yet. However, I was just talking with my husband today and said I hoped I would be able to not even "try" the foods that I shouldn't eat. I'm hoping to be able to treat them like drugs, so instead of trying bread or Pasta to see if I can eat them, I hope to never find out in the first place and assume that I can't tolerate them!
I actually like low carb foods and really enjoy exercising, just harder to do these days at this weight.
Since you've only regained 8 pounds so far, it's a great time to nip it in the bud and get back to it!
I'm hoping to have my surgery in December. What advice would you be giving me? Let's do this!

I bought a dehydrator on Amazon and a Jerky gun for homemade jerky. I buy the nesco jerky flavoring and you can leave out the 'cure' to reduce the salt. You can use steak without the gun, BUT with the different tips included with the jerky gun, you can make softer round ones more similar to a Slim Jim or a flat one that amazingly make the ground beef feel like steak like Jack Links. You have to use the lean ground beef and it makes a very large batch. Without the cure, you have to keep it in the fridge or even freeze some. The cure allows you to leave it out on the counter for about a week and a half.
The original flavoring packet is so very tasty. There are different flavors but I haven't tried any others.

I hope it's possible to go from 322 to 150! I'm not too far off of that!
I'm not sure what size it will be, I'd just like to have a normal BMI. I'm hoping to have my surgery in December.
I'm actually ok being a deflated fat girl. The loose skin will weigh much less than the inflated skin! I was extremely active at 250. I was exercising 2-3 hours a day, doing hikes that took me more than 2 hours a day and loved every minute of it. The weight I lost krept back up. It's this last 15 or 20 that has made my knees and feet and back...etc, hurt and unable to get back outside.
I'm sure even the initial 20 to 30 pounds will make us feel much better on our feet. Find an activity you really enjoy. Walking on a treadmill is a chore for me. I love being outside though and a nature trail is easier on the feet than a hard sidewalk or street.
The sleeve will do its job. Just need to be ready to do yours. I'm not there yet but seems like the drinking while eating is the biggest slip up, allowing the food to pass through faster and making us hungrier sooner. I wouldn't count on not being hungry again, for some it does (and I hope it does for us too!) but you would feel defeated if it didn't turn out to happen. At least know, even if you are hungry, it will take much less to fill you up! I think I will definitely measure my food and do the suggested amount, whatever that is by my doc. I think the saying "just because you CAN eat more doesn't mean you SHOULD" is an important one. So, if we "should" be full enough with 2 or 3 ounces in the beginning, lets measure our food and make sure we stop there! Let's not worry about saggy skin, a number on the back of our jeans, and let's Celebrate every day that we weigh less and we are able to move more!
    Yay us!

Thank you so much! He mentioned the liquid percocet but said since regular perc doesn't work for me, he would do the Dilaudid. Like I said, from past experience, I'm not looking to be pain free, just a little help would be nice!

Who would I ask about that? Would I contact the coordinator at the Surgical Center? I guess they would know the ways of getting around that?

Met my husband on okcupid. Had A LOT of first dates before meeting him. I felt much better after I learned to go into it with the mindset of meeting someone new and enjoying an evening out, expecting that it would be a first and last date, then pleasantly surprised if there was a followup. Many people are uncomfortable saying, nice to meet you but it didn't work for me. Much easier to cut off communication after the date, which can be depressing. Going into it solely to enjoy that one experience a nd nothing more, is much easier to deal with!

My first public meet with my now hubby, we met for a short hike.
I did a lot of online dating and had A LOT of first dates! I finally went into each one thinking it would be a one time meet and would just enjoy the company and the activity. Once I let go of expecting a followup or second date, they weren't as painful or depressing!
Met mine on okcupid (might just be cupid now).

You can make beef Jerky at home and make it with less salt. I bought a dehydrator on Amazon for about $50. I also bought a jerky gun and jerky seasoning from Nesco on Amazon. It has tip attachments. You have to use lean ground beef. There is a tip that makes it come out like a Slim Jim and a flat one that makes it come out like a store-bought flat jerky. I prefer the flat one, people actually think it is steak and can't believe it is ground beef! Plus, the jerky seasoning, which also tastes amazing and like store bought, can be made without the extra packet of "cure" which is where the salt is. The only reason to use the cure is if you are taking it hiking, camping, etc. where it will sit out for a long time. If at home, you can keep it in the fridge and it will keep without the cure.
I bought it originally to make the dogs homemade treats, however, now it's one for them and one for me! It is SOOOO good!
You can also just buy the seasoning and jerky gun and use in your oven but that takes longer and you have to keep the oven door open for the drying. With the dehydrator, it takes 4 hours. If the dogs weren't getting any, 2 pounds of lean ground beef would make over a week's worth of jerky treats just for me!
