You can use My Fitness Pal which a lot of people on here use. They have a huge database of foods already entered and I think you can even enter in your own recipe and it will break it down. You can they keep track of all of your percentages. Its a great tool in case you slow down or hit a stall to see if/where you mightcan make changes in your counts.

I didn't realize he had had the surgery but just did a quick search and he said that he chose the sleeve because as a chef, he needs to be able to taste everything and there were ingredients that would make you "sick" with the other procedures and he didn't want to worry about that. Guess "sick" is a nice way to say dumping issues!

Milk of Magnesia usually makes you go after a dose or two. Then MiraLAX daily. It is clear and dissolves into anything. It is safe to use long term. Stool softeners draw Water into your stool but doesn't make you go. Once you get going, continue on the MiraLAX every day.

Welcome Bonnie! We're not too far off. I'll be starting about 305 and hope to get down to 145-150 (which I never remember being :/ ) I will add you to the list and will update it when you get your date! There is also a secret Facebook page for us if you're interested in joining. Vixey created it. The info is a page or two back.

I had to wait until our insurance kicked in to get the EGD done. I didn't want to pay cash for that! I did pay cash to see the surgeon and to get the psych eval. I could have had the surgery in Oct if my husband hadn't switched jobs (however, very glad he did as he LOVES it). Why did you not get sedated?

I know if someone told me I could have my surgery this Friday, I would be scared to death and start panicking but right now, I just can't wait!! I've never been so excited for doctor visits! lol I get to go Monday to my PCP and I know she will do the EKG and set me up with the EGD. Once that is done, I can pick my date! Just can't wait to have that camera down my throat! lol (a sentence no one ever said!)

My docs office said I could have either the Upper GI or the EGD. Seems lke if you've had the EGD, an upper GI wouldn't be necessary. They tell you the same things..

Must just be for the Upper GI then! Good thing we have so many people on here to help answer questions!

Yay! Congrats on finally getting your date! I'm so hoping for the day after you! Welcome to our December's group! I think there are several on the 4th! I will add you to the list!

Hoping for the 5th! Doesn't seem like a popular day on the list! Hubby has to work so I'm hoping for a Thursday so he can take off Thursday and then I can come home Saturday and have him for Sunday as well.

Yay! Congrats on getting your date! I moved you up on the list. I'm trying to get my date penciled in. I only have one more thing to do and I am self pay. Hope to hear back from the scheduler to see if she is willing to save my date! Love this big group too!

So sorry you are having such a rough month! Also terribly sorry about your Grandma. Even if you did everything to a T, stress is enough to throw everything off. It is what it is, don't add more worry to yourself worrying about the appt. Hope you are able to get things smoothed over before your surgery so you can focus on recovery. Keep us posted!
