    Loose Skin

Guy here. I have a "pooch" and for a while I was all "why won't this damn fat just go?" until someone saw me with my shirt off and said, dude, it's skin. It's all skin. So once I stabilize, I'll have it removed. I have worked too hard and want to know what it feels like to just... take my shirt off and go swimming.

    So impatient!!!

I was... but I went too fast and managed to pull one of my incisions which kept me out a bit longer. So even though you're champing at the bit, go slow. And once you're cleared, don't go crazy. It will take time to build back up.

    Eating every 3 hours....

It might be because you're not eating enough protein. If you don't have enough, it can slow things down. You also need to make sure you're getting enough calories. If you're walking or working out but barely eating, your body will think it's starving and hold on to every bit of weight it can. I would still celebrate those 14 pounds!!! And it looks like you have a total of 36 total gone from pre and post surgery, which is amazing!!! You also maybe have hit your stall early. 9 days seems super early for that, but it might be possible. Not sure, tho.

    Loose Skin

Your going to be keeping yourself busy! lol I dont know if I am ready to go through all of that. I would like to do my upper arms I have those dreaded bat wings!!! I hate that. My upper arms and belly hold a lot of fat so I should imagine those will be my biggest area of loose skin.

    Keto Diet

I lost 100 pounds over 9 months and then when the weight came back, I gained it all back plus an extra 11 pounds. I just sat and cried, and that's when my PCP suggested WLS.

How much food do you eat after

I can't chug water like I used to, but at 11 weeks post-op I'm taking "normal" sized swallows (not tiny sips) of fluids.

100% this! 👆 I spoke with my dietitian yesterday and told her my fears. She said a few things I found helpful for my situation (and possibly others?) Being able to eat a bit more than the average sleever is not a big problem; not all sleeves are made the same. In the first month or two, the stomach is still healing, so it's too early to worry about hunger/restriction. Dense protein and low-carb veggies should always be the go-to to keep the body feeling fuller for longer. I'm not over-eating (praise the Lord!) Calorie-wise, I am to aim for 1000 calories in the first few months, then 1200 calories next six months with a longer-term aim of 1500 calories maintenance. I feel much, much happier knowing this. I hope it helps others too.

    Dumping And Such...

I thought I may have been the only one that imagines a petulant, tantrum throwing child. My "child" is more of a baby, who sleeps (when things are going well), then can be that baby who is about to wake up in a bad mood, twisting and turning and frowning (usually if I have eaten a little too much) then once in a while, the devil personified....
