Should I bring broth to hospital?

One thing I took that I was really glad I did was an extra long charging cord I ordered on Amazon that charged iPad and phone.

    Struggling with Weight Re-Gain

I am a night shift nursing supervisor. Job is crazy stressful! I had the DS 6/1/21 and took 6 weeks off work which worked out great for me. Returned to work 7/14 right into the start of a new covid surge! Ugh! I prepare/pack any food I’m going to eat during the shift. I’ll set an alarm to remind me to eat and/or drink as needed during the shift. It is difficult but doable. I round throughout the hospital every 2-3 hours, assign beds to patients, respond to any in-house emergencies, any codes in the ER or.in-house. Also meet with any patients or family members that have any issues or concerns and try to help them any way possible. So setting a reminder alarm really comes in handy so that I meet my hydration needs especially. Luckily, one of my coworkers had the DS about 6 years ago and she shared tips that really helped me out.

That’s amazing. I actually had the same issue but I considered it a great success because I went from 323 to 180. At one point, due to barely eating and exercising like crazy I got down to 160 but I was ill. Nonetheless, I’m guessing I’m back up around 215 now at this point postpartum and basically wanna lose another hundred pounds. I’m going to go all the way but I hear stories about people only dropping 30 pounds on their second surgery and I don’t think it’s worth it These questions are really helpful. Thank you. Your case, it sounds like it was perfect! Congratulations! But you know what I had the same fears the first time I had surgery – and I would be the one that didn’t lose the weight and it wasn’t true. I need to lose 70 to 90 pounds at this point and my concern is not the rate of speed but whether or not it’s worth going through a life-changing surgery the results may only be a third of what I’m looking for

116 lbs. ago you were probably desperate to be where you are now. Don't lose sight of what you have accomplished.

    Feeling down

I'd lost way less than 116 lbs at eight months out, so you're much further ahead than I was at that point. My stalls became more frequent and lasted longer the further out I went - and my weight loss slowed to a crawl. But I kept at it regardless, and I ended up losing all of my excess weight, over 200 lbs. It took 20 months in total. in short, don't give up yet!

My husband and I separated a couple months ago and are just waiting on court availability to finalize our divorce. I’ve just started dipping my toe in the dating world. It’s fun on some levels. However, I can’t help but feel a little (probably misplaced) resentment. Suddenly I’m a bit of a hot commodity. While on dating websites before my marriage, when I was 140 lbs heavier, I had few show interest. Now I’m overwhelmed with messages. It kind of messes with my brain to go from someone seen as undesirable to someone desirable. I’m still the same person, just in different packaging I guess. It’s frustrating to realize how much my value as a person was minimized due to my weight 😡

    Dating post WLS and PS

I had a guy (in real life, not online) ask me out for the first time by asking if I wanted to go to Hawaii with him. I mean, dude really...can we start with coffee first? LOL 😀

Proceed with caution on Dating sites. I think that people will test many boundaries/limits because there are very few real world repercussions for dishonesty. Also, looks seem to matter the most on apps that are basically 5 second interviews. That being said I met my BF on a dating site (post WLS & pre plastics) Good luck! ❤️

    Flappy tummy

High waist-ed anything really helps to keep stuff in place an IN...particularly high waist-ed jeans because of the stiffer fabric.
