I think its because generally, the weight loss sort of triggers a confidence thing in you and you begin to realize your worth, which in turn makes you more likely to reject those who don't.

Day three I slept 11 solid hours last night with one potty and drain clean break to bathroom at 2:00am. Just returned from my longest walk to date with hubby and Bobby. No marathons yet of course but felt great to get out in the fresh air and move + stretch the body. Ate a little low salt cottage cheese with bananas and walnuts for breakfast. Still not hungry but try to get something down. No bowel movement, either. Do take a stool softener for when the time is right. :] Continue Juven and isopure liquids. I feel great. The only freight train pain is in the tummy tuck territory, and only when getting in and out of our bed which is a little on the high side especially for pint size 5' Sophie! LOL. There is no pain nor discomfort in the breast area at all. After the third day out I can say with absolute confidence - Do not hesitate when you feel ready to do this for yourselves!!! It has not been as difficult as I thought it would be. And, pssk, in regards to our age - I found research suggest older adult women may actually fair better with plastic surgeries due to less hormonal activity and stability post-menopause. I decided not to shower today for the big reveal and remove all the compression garments and such. I have been sponge bathing all along and ready for a nap now. You can see from the side view the swelling is at a premium. Sooooo for today, I'll keep everything in their tight little cocoon for the time being. Happy weekend to you and yours.

3 years out and can't lose a pound.

sounds like you might need to CUT calories, not increase them. How many are you eating in an average day now? I can maintain on 1500-1700 a day - but some people maintain on less than that - some even on 1000-1200. That range is going to be different for everyone. Start logging your food in an online tracker and after a week or two see what your average is. Then cut it by like 100 calories for a couple of weeks. If that's still not doing it, cut another 100. Rinse and repeat. You'll eventually find the spot where you're starting to lose weight again. p.s. There are definitely people who can maintain on 1800 calories, but that is pretty high. Even my 1500-1700 range is on the higher end for bariatric patients - a lot of people can't eat that many and maintain, unfortunately.

AJ...that's great news! I'm excited as well as I'm only down 42 pounds in 8 weeks but have gone from a 46 pant to a 42 and my 20" neck and 3xl shirts are swimming on me. I'm heading to Hawaii for a sunbreak in 2 weeks and am excited to be able to swim in the ocean without worrying that the Coast Guard will try to board me. :-)

    Your Little Helpful Niche?

Thank you everyone for your input! While getting so much major info on everything, its always great to get the little things as well. ❤️ Been making little lists of items to get (like tiny spoons) to go ahead and get and have ready. JRT MOM - The bowls with the internal etching is an awesome idea!!! I have some small dipping type cups that this would be awesome inside of.

P.S. it does get way harder to lose the farther out you are, but people do it, so it can be done...

So sorry to hear about your fury family loss. :[ I'd definitely look into the wire fox terrier! They are our favorite breed. A fabulous breed. They bring so much joy to a household. They do not shed but you do need to keep their undercoat managed by combing it out + along with puppy cut or stripping which they do to show dogs. We do not strip Bobby. Robert has been an incredibly attentive nurse, and baker extraordinare all built in one! Haha. I'll send you a few more wire fox terrier inspirations to consider. They are very athletic, social and full of curiosity AND adventure. Bobby has not left my side since surgery. A very faithful companion, indeed.

    Hospital Bag

I'm going to start my bag when I go in for my pre-op on the 17th, I need to do something with my anxious self. I think I will wear my same outfit home, bring my vaseline for my lips (sensitive skin), aromatherapy lotion (bath & body works), thicker socks, hygiene basics, charger /phone, travel blanket and pillow (personal comfort) and I'm still bringing my battery operated candle (soothing). Now if I will actually use it, who knows. I just don't like noise or bright light, especially when I'm in pain. So, I can see me listening to meditation music and turning that darn candle on to soothe my pain or cussing at my cousin's when they ask me do I want my candle on, lol.... I'm generally pretty zen and meditative when I feel stress or pain coming, something I started when my mom passed in 2013 to help me cope.
