    Sweets

Dont do it. As soon as you let something back into your diet, it becomes easier to allow yourself to eat it again the next time. There are a lot of things I wish I hadn't let back into my diet "that one time"

Flintstones vitamins are not really optimal for bariatric patients. Try looking in the store here on this site or online for vitamins formulated for people who have had weight loss surgery. Some are once a day, some are two or more- depending on the formula. You will also need calcium citrate for sure and possibly others depending on the vitamin you select and your own personal needs. Talk to your surgeon for specifics on your case. Good Luck!

    Spicy foods

I started craving spicy food a few months after surgery, it’s weird my tolerance has gone way up.

    New here- where to start?

Stopping smoking was a great step! I had stopped smoking about five months before I had my first appointment (before I'd decided to do the process) and also completely stopped drinking about two months before - again for unrelated reasons, but those both ended up being things that the nutritionist and psychiatrist at my weight loss center were very happy to hear. I gradually cut down on caffeine and carbonation and eventually cut them out entirely at about 4 months pre-op, and started taking my recommended multivitamin at that same time.

    Not losing as fast

when I was where you are, I'd lost 28 lbs (16 lbs the first month,12 lbs the second). I was a slow loser the whole time, but I ended up losing over 200 lbs. Everyone's rate of weight loss is different depending on so many factors (age, gender, starting BMI, metabolic rate, etc). Your commitment to your program is going to have a MUCH greater impact on your eventual success than your rate of weight loss will, though. So just stick to your program, follow the rules, and the weight will come off, either fast or slow.
