    Weight Loss Pills and surgery

I was concerned at first about my loss. It felt slow and I asked about other options. I was assured that they have a variety of other options to supplement the surgery, including medication. I haven't needed it yet (and they told me I didn't qualify for additional measures at that time) but if loss stops and I'm not able to get to goal by following the plan, I will absolutely use any other options available to me.

    Smooth Sailing for Anyone?

Had mine 12/14. I’ve had 3 laparoscopic surgeries now and this one was the easiest! Be sure to start walking AS SOON AS YOU CAN after surgery. Like within an hour or two. It will help you start healing and lessen complications. I’ve had no vomiting or issues with eating and drinking. I feel the same, I just eat a lot less. I’ve lost 38 lbs so far and feel great. No regrets whatsoever. I haven’t lost my hair yet so I may feel differently if that happens[emoji23]. Just be sure to go a reputable hospital with a surgeon with a good rating. Good luck- wish you the best! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Liquid diet

It's mostly because your caloric levels tanked out. Most of us Americans eat 22,25 or 3000 calories, then you cut back to 600-800 a day and your poor body says" WTF are You doing to Me?" so dizziness is its way of revenge, move slower, plan your next move, not a good time to go blithering along!.Every movement has good and bad facets for IT!!

    Liquid diet

I felt woozy for part of the time. I was on my preop diet. They told me I could have some extra protein but it didn’t make a difference. I kept feeling weak after surgery until I got my calories up to about 500 per day. I hope your vertigo passes more quickly.

    Worried Surgeon will disapprove me

The Specialist I saw at the ER was called before I got there by my Opthamologist in my home town, so he had a pretty good idea what was going on. He did a lot of testing before he even sent me to St. Louis. I am hoping too that this may make me a better candidate, but there is always that chance the surgeon will see it differently. The hospital they sent me to in St. Louis is affiliated with where my surgeon is located, so he may know about what happened before I can tell him, so keep your finger's crossed for me. Thank you Everythinganna for the support! 😃

    stepbet

well, i joined a stepbet. You bet on yourself (games are $20-40) and they draw your steps from your fitness tracker and create a daily goal for you to meet 4 days, then a higher "stretch" goal for 2 days. Its based on where you are, so someone who runs every day currently will have a higher goal than someone who is currently sedentary. If you meet the goals for the duration of the game (2-4 weeks), then you split the pot at the end. If you don't make your goal any given week, you lose your money. So, I guess it works - to get my stretch goal for today, I stayed on the treadmill an extra 15 minutes. So, I guess its doing its job. Just need to keep it up for another 4 weeks!

    Honest Opinion on Counseling

Thank you [emoji4] definitely find one. It has helped tremendously. Just remember if you find a counselor that you don't mesh well that's okay. There are plenty more.Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Honest Opinion on Counseling

This was a great post. I am going through this right now. It's strange. I can see how large I was in pictures at my heaviest but when I look in the mirror, I don't see it except in my face. Of course, I see the change in my clothing but I still think I look very obese even though I have lost 85 lbs and only have 25 to go. I will look into counseling. Hope it will help turn the switch! Thanks for sharing!

    5 years almost

Just a thought but are you taking vitamins? Back to basics - protien and water. I am with you - boring. What about a 5 day break from carbs sugar caffeine and alcohol? Also for me logging is a must. Keep us posted.
