Yep! I shouldโ€™ve specified so I edited my post to include RNY. My surgeon said reflux is rampant with sleeve patients and the #1 reason folks come to him for revisions to RNY. Some people just canโ€™t get a handle on it ๐Ÿ˜ฅ I hope you can get some relief.

The more sleep you can get the better. That's awesome!

Hi all, Iโ€™m almost a month post-op VSG and am doing quite well getting to learn my new stomach. I was wondering how much youโ€™re sleeping post-surgery? A friend slept 8 hours a night with a four hour nap the first 6 weeks, and Iโ€™m sleeping 10-11 hours per night with no naps. Iโ€™m heading back to work next week and am wondering when others have been able to go back to a more normal 8-hour sleep schedule.

So I just went hair shopping!

They are a little expensive. The one I got was a 12 inch synthetic topper. The total with tax was $211.62. If you wanted a shorter one I think it would be cheaper. I'm a graying 49 year old and I am constantly having to do root touch ups so with the topper you can hide your gray a lot longer which I figure will save a ton of money and therefore pay for itself. But I'll tell ya the confidence I felt just having it on in the salon was so nice because my scalp can be slightly visible especially in overhead lighting and now I will never have to be embarrassed about that anymore.

Thanks for your reply! We went with the 6qt. Haven't used it yet as it just arrived yesterday, but looking forward to all it can do! Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

My guess is that the pouch IS the new stomach. Oh wait, I'm thinking of gastric sleeve where the new "pouch" is the new stomach but you might be talking about Gastric Bypass where the pouch is in addition to the old stomach. Good question. I had gastric sleeve a month ago and I'm having acid reflux whenever I lay down.

How to Go about Lap Band Removal?

Seldom, I am in a similar situation. However I thought all was well with my band, but after 12 years I have developed esophageal dysmotility. So in my opinion I would say get the esophagram ASAP. My problem could have gotten worse without me knowing. At this point it appears it may be reversible with band removal (although I cannot find much research/results). So your โ€œticking time bombโ€ hyposthesis applies to me. But good luck! Stella
