Finally breaking out of a month-long, self-inflicted stall. I found out the hard way that you can still squeeze plenty of empty calories and carbs into your tiny stomach if you aren't being disciplined & following your plan. Back on track, now, and just broke into triple digits! Gonna stay focused, keep tracking and make sure protein goals are always met.

To all pre -op people TRUST ME BUY THE ONE PILL THAT KEEPS U FROM BEING NAUSEA ITS LIKE 110$ MOST INSURANCE WONT PAY FOR IT TRUST ME ITS SO WORTH BUYING IT !!! I never got sick once the only time I throw up or spit up is when I eat to much soup or drink too much it's better to spit it up then feel full cause ur stomach can open so I've heard I'm sure it's not easy to open ur stomach after surgery but better to be careful. You have to learn how to eat and drink different . My old habits on how I drink and eat come and go u have to think before u gulp I catch myself doing that because for years that's how we ate and drank so it's a new way of life . I'm so happy I did it tho except the day after I woke up from surgery it's painfull but it goes away after a few hours the more you farting and burping the better u will feel .. SO BUY THE PILL TRUST ME U WONT REGRET IT ...BORROW THE DAMM MONEY IF U HAVE TO LOL GOOD LUCK ALL NEWBEES GOD BLESS

9 months post op and 65 lbs. down. I am happy with this weight, I feel really good here, normalish... I can no longer "shop" in my own closet. I am in size L strechy pants and size 14 jeans. I still grab the XL/16 when I go shopping, because I'm convinced it's all vanity sizing. I need to work on treats and social food gatherings. I allow myself too much. I am determined to get to goal over the next few months, so I will be changing my evening snack, and saying no to the Halloween treats that will be in the office over the next few weeks. Things I am still doing right: - Tracking my food...honestly - Waiting 1/2 hour after eating, to drink - Focusing on protein - No chips or white bread in the house - 15 min walk during the week - Eating out less

OH BOY!! I am two days away from sleeve surgery. I am so excited!! Today is the last day of my full liquid diet. All clear liquids tomorrow with the awesome mag citrate. Also working this evening and tomorrow evening as well. That's the not so fun part. Prayers, well wishes, and positive vibes appreciated! Thanks!

3 Days out of surgery! Feeling ok.... working on getting my fluids in and walking. Trying not to take too many pain pills. I detest jello 😜 but love chicken broth. I’m down about 8 pounds already, not focusing on weight loss though, just getting better.

So the ex-bf is completely out of the picture. I could not handle the uncertainty of his behaviors. One day he likes the way I dressed, the next day I was begging for attention. Once he started with the insecurities, I had to let it go. Truthfully, it did not hurt me as much as I thought it would. And that is because I had falling in love with someone else. I fell in love with a woman. She is the most funny, beautiful and caring person I have ever met. She is strong, confident and dorky at the same time. She is everything I ever wanted in a person and she is ME!! I FELL IN LOVE with MYSELF again. I forgot the person I used to be and went searching for her and I found her. I never want to lose her again. If that meant giving up someone else for the sack of myself, then I would do what is necessary to keep me as a I am. I guess sometimes you have to be selfish. I cannot sacrifice my success to make someone else fell secure in themselves. I cannot sacrifice my peace of mind to give some one a peace of mind. I just could not keep living my life through other peoples wants, hopes and desires. I want to live my life for me. I have wants, hopes and desires and I plan on making them happen. Day 5 of liquid liver-shrinking pre-op diet, and so far so good! I have been taking more enjoyment out of watching my cooking/baking shows on TV though Can't believe my surgery is soo close@ This process has been incredibly fast for me (went to free WLS seminar by surgeon July 29th), and can't believe my life will change for the even better so soon!

Hi everyone! I'm me and nervous. I just turned 60 years old. I think I'm officially grown up now. I'm young at heart, goofing around with my grandchildren all nine of them. I have had crohns disease since I was 19'years old. I still managed to make it through nursing school and more ask retired after 35 years. My husband and I have custody of three of our grandchildren after our son in law died and our daughter ran away. One of the things I would like to run by the members is my feeling of selfishness about having this gastric sleeve. I'm overweight, diabetes, hip replacement and crohns. I feel that if I didn't make it through surgery, it would absolutely devastate the grandkids again! I never thought I could even have a sleeve done due to having all of my colon and rectum removed. So, I have an ileostomy. I have a huge hernia at the site. I went to Duke University and the gastroenterologist suggested I have weight loss surgery because if he repairs the hernia, the weight will cause it to come back. I'm scheduled in three months.
