    A scary thing happened today...

I am scheduled to have my sleeve surgery in June, I have been going back and forth between excitement and fear. Today was just another "reminder" of why I NEED this surgery so bad. I was taking my niece into the gym for her softball practice, it was a downhill walk, then up 2 flights of steps into the gym. For the first time in my life, I got extrememly winded and felt like I was going to pass out. It was the scariest feeling ever (it didn't help that the gym was EXTREMELY HOT) This never evwn happened to me when I weighed 310 lbs! (I now weigh 276) I know now that I need to be more scared of NOT having sugery than having it.

    Just had my EGD yesterday!

I was nervous about my EGD but it was a breeze. I had never been to this hospital so that's why I was nervous but all the nurses were very nice. I have a tattoo of the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland on my chest, one of the nurses bonded with me over it and right before I got knocked out from the anesthesia she quoted Alice in Wonderland. I can't remember exactly what she said but I remember it put a big smile on my face. She was so kind. Really made me feel better about having my surgery at the same facility. Come on April 19th! I'm so ready for you!

    Home

I had my surgery on the 29th as well. I was only in the hospital for one day. I thought that was normal but when I got home I regretted it. I had a low grade fever on Thursday night, so glad it hasn't come back. I am really struggling to get in the fluid I need. I wake up all night long to sip because of how dry my mouth is. I feel like everything I do is stretching my stomach. I'm really concerned about not getting enough water.

    How to slow weight loss

It will slow down naturally. My first 3-4 weeks were big numbers. Then I averaged 2 lbs a week which is totally normal rate. And it doesn't draw unwanted attention if you're keeping your procedure private.

    5 days post op

I'm only 5 days post op and I'm going with the gallbladder /hernia (that part is true) and the high protein low carbs. It's my business and feel like I don't have to explain myself
