    Tomorrow Is A New Year... & 3wks Post-op

Almost 4 weeks out myself, and I hit a stall for a moment too! I lost 2 pounds over the last week or so, but I finally got cleared to start the gym this week...walking a few miles each day was just not cutting it anymore mentally! ha. I think I am guilty of not getting enough protein, but I have improved on this this week a lot! We just have to keep going and cheer each other on during the stalls...we will see the scale drop again soon! Good luck with everything, and I am sending good juju your way for the job hunt!!!

I had mine on 12/12/11,so that's 3 weeks today. Ive lost 30 pounds. I just started doing the protien drinks again. I'm doing 15 a day on tread mill and Ive felt really great, except they Knicked my spleen and I have the most horrible pain in my left shoulder, that just makes me cry. They have me taking liquid vicadin, and it does help, but I don't want to become addicted, so I live with the pain a lot of the time.I try not to weigh my self, but I do love it when I just know Ive lost by the way my clothes fit. Even with the pain, I love the new me.

While I can't talk about the cost I can talk about the bipolar aspect...I've been treated for depression for many years but was told last year by a new psych he thought it was bipolar instead. I've had the band for 14 months and it has not affected what meds I take or the doseage - yet. It was not ruled out as the doctor knows of my lapband. I do know when I exercise more I feel better and with less weight I do exercise more so that helps my mood stabilize. The psych did give me another pill (Abilify) and that seems to have made the difference added to my other med for depression. As far as the cost I'd check with the doctors you want to use and see what they charge and make sure you tell them cash pay because you frequently get a lower price! Good luck as it can be the best investment you make with that money - your health... Linda

I am 3 weeks out of sleeve surgery. You MUST get your protein in daily, as well as liquids and vitamins. I hated the protein weeks with liquids--yuck! I stuck to it and have lost 20 lbs! I had my surgery 12/6 and am now on soft foods. I am just craving hard boiled eggs, so that's what I'm eating. I also do plain hamburger when I'm out w/cheese and leave off the bread. Works great! So sorry for you and your family. You know, I feel that we're all just a step away from losing our homes. It's scary time. God Bless and good luck job hunting!

    Concerned

i am not sleeved yet but from reading on here you are actually one of those that are blessed with not having a sudden stall. Do not look for something wrong. Everything you pointed out sounds very positive. Sounds like God is blessing you with exactly what you need at the time, enjoy your ride. Also congrats on the downsize, soon enough those 26's will fall of even with the rope. I can not wait to be sleeved!!!!! You are doing wonderful!!!!!
