Lots of gas when I try to drink

You may have to get used to it. I had my sleeve surgery in 2013 and still have constant gas. Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I was told my sleeve would eventually hold one cup and I should eat 3 meals with no snacks. Today for lunch I ate 6 medium shrimp and I was stuffed to the max.

    February 2019 weight loss buds

I'm still bouncing around the same few pounds, BUT... I have stopped throwing up! Yay! Haven't done so for 2 or 3 days now. Not sure what has changed... maybe I'm eating slower, maybe eating the right things, and stopping before I get too full. So thankful to have a break from it!

    SLEEVE regret

I dealt with stomach pain before and am dealing with it now. Been on 6 weeks of protonix faithfully and no change. I have 3 more weeks to see a change and if not I'm going to do an endoscopy. I'm not sure if I regret the sleeve or not. Also, I have only lost 2 pounds this month and am only 2 months out. I have however lost 45 pounds. I'm not sure if I would do a revision or not. Maybe if it was the shortest bypass allowable. Not sure if that would help me or not?

    Non Scale Victories

That's 100% a NSV. I have been able to cross my legs without having to literally pull my leg up for 2 months now and it's nice. I'm also getting bony, I notice when I sit for long periods of time (work) my butt starts to really hurt now that it doesn't have the extra padding. Anyway, good job!

    amusement parks post-op

Hey I have been hoping to go to Cedar point and Kings Island now that I am flattening my chassis out to where belts might fit me.Now are you saying I'm gonna get the "Pukies" more from the rides? You may just break my hopeful ❤, oh shoot, I'm still gonna keep losing anyway.
  10. Sorry, no offense meant. Just a joke that fell flat

Probably better off that way, bread used to be one of my downfalls, especially homemade or Italian. Now I don't eat any, quite a change, but you know, I'm not tempted anymore.

    April 2019 Surgeries!

I said this yesterday! I need savory items. Everything I drink taste sweet- Protein Shakes, Jello, Popsicles, Protein Water. I’m so tired of chicken broth and veggie broth. I’ve branched our a little to cream soups... but I want eggs!
  19. $20 for tape? No thanks, I've got duct tape in my kitchen drawer. McGyver approved. 😆

Let us know how the "Use things up" works, if nothing else make Garbage Soup, that's what my Aunt Wilma called it, but often it was pretty doggone good.

    March Bypass Buddies

I had mine 3/27. Think I have developed ulcers somehow. Started Carafate and feel much better. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
  22. That's still a lot less expensive than many areas are, you might get requests for more information on here!

Lots of gas when I try to drink

This may sound dumb but put your heating pan on your tummy , it might help relax things enough that the gas burps up.

    Carafate question

That's what I have to do, Silver Scripts is too dang cheap to authorize liquid for me, everybody complains about their health insurance , deal me into that poker game, I'll tell you how my Medicare part D people treat me and my peer group!

    Carafate question

I take Carafate. I always try to take on an empty stomach and not eat/drink for about 30 min afterward. Also, I have discovered that it is more effective if you dissolved it and take it as a slurry rather than a whole, intact tablet.

I'm having the same problem 5 days post-op. Warm liquids hasn't made it any better for me. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
