Five day post-op 4lbs of skin removed Extended tummy tuck

what exactly is an extended tummy tuck?amd what are those tubes?

It means it went almost all the way around my torso. There is only about 5 inches that didn't get cut. Those tubes are drains, & I can only assume they just drain the gross blood from the inside? I have to empty them every 12 hours. They are probably the most annoying thing about my TT. But I get them out on Monday!

can u show us a picture of how it use to look before that surgery?

the tubing is called a jackson-pratt drain...basically they collect excess fluid. Why is this important? Because excess fluid may cause you to heal improperly or can start an infection

I get the rest of those drains out today! I'm so happy!

Why did you have an extended tummy tuck instead of the traditional tummy tuck?

You look great!! It looks very painful though especially with the tubes, I give you alot of credit I think I would of puked if I had to empty it out and see it like that!!

uhm did it hurt for a while after this? because i just got the surgery i weigh 237 and i wanna be about 140 like you are. and i was wondering if you would think it would be definite that i need a tummy tuck or not?
