1St Time Being Sick Since Banded

I guess it's the weather here in NC, but today I have a sore throat, head ache and sneezing. Totally sucks! I feel nauseous from the sinus drainage. On the plus side it makes me not want to eat and the coughing is giving my abs an awesome workout.

How does one handle nausea and the band?

I have always been a person who tosses her cookies easily. After surgery I got sick 4 times before it was controlled and I haven't had anything since. However, now I find myself nauseated and worried about getting sick and hurting my band.

Any advice?

do you still have some of those anti nausea meds they gave you from the hospital? i have some with me at all times. it also scares me too. (even though the band is sewed in) i still know its not a good thing for us to be sick. i am sure it will happen, but if we are violently so, we need to let the dr know just in case.

i too have a sore throat and its dark and gloomy here in raleigh also. the rain is def making my left knee go (ouch).

if you are concerned, give your dr a jingle and ask what they think or recommend you do.

smooches to you

Yeah, CG- I am in Raleigh to. I hate the weather. I have been downing green tea all day to help with the sore throat. I forced myself to eat breakfast and lunch, but I have only gotten 200 calories for the day, which I guess isn't a bad thing. I just hate this feeling.

I would take gravol or something. I have been sick to my stomach after being banded and it is NOT fun. Stomach contents do not want to come back up through that tiny opening. It's very hard on your stomach to vomit (different than PBing for sure).
