I am so frustrated! I know that I shouldn't weigh myself everyday but I do! Then i get discouraged when my weight fluctuates (which I know is normal) I actually asked my husband to hide the scale today, So I dont get this feeling.

I need to tell myself the weight will not come off overnight. BUT I WISH IT WOULD! I have 32 lbs to loose before they will do my band.

Sorry guys...had to vent.

No worries on venting -- I feel you on this one 1000%. I was banded 4.5 months ago and I've re-hidden the scale twice. It is hard not to weigh and even harder not to let the fluctuations affect your mindset.

Hiding is the best thing possible. I recommend it!

Best of luck to you!

Vent away! I completely understand the scale thing. I weigh EVERYDAY and most times twice a day. I like information, so I'm not going to stop, but I did make a committment to myself not to act on the daily information. I log it and only use the trend information (weekly/montly) to gauge how I'm "really" doing. Good luck!!

We are all here to vent and share, so please feel free to do both. I weigh at the gym 3-4 times a week. I don't own a scale. I keep a log every Sunday of my weight so I am trying not to get too crazy about it. I wish you the best of luck. Losing weight without the band is not easy, but it is not impossible. Cut out the carbs and that should help. Exercise will also help and you will have to continue with the exercise after the banding, so get moving now. Keep us informed.

You are right . . .if the fluctuations upset you - don't do it! Sounds like you are doing well . . just keep doing what you know you are supposed to do and it will happen. Best wishes.
