Routine

Yesterday marked the end of my third week post surgery. I was off work for two weeks and returned to work last week. I finally feel as though I'm getting into a routine with what I need to do and eat - and it's a good thing. It feels good. My face looks thinner to me and clothes are fitting differently. I did not have any bathroom scales at home before surgery, so I'm going by my doctor's office scales. I stopped in there today for a weight check and have lost 20 pounds (pre and post op)- I am thrilled! I have said since I started this that I truly don't care if the weight comes off slowly (not that I call this slowly, but I know it will slow down), but my main focus is to have the weight stay off. That has never happened for me. I'm so thankful for this site and for all the help and encouragement I read here every day. God's best to you all, my fellow bandsters . . here we go . . :tt2:

I have always been a believer in planning ahead. I plan my meals and freeze food to take out at a later time for ease in preparation. I hear the confidence in your routine, it does make life so much more pleasant when everything is in place and there are fewer things to think about.

I always went to my Dr. Office to be weighed as I did not own a scale at the beginning of my LB journey. I inherited a beautiful old Dr. scale and it is right on. It never lies. I never ever wanted to own a scale in my life until I got this one. Now when I step on it I get tears of JOY thanks to my LB and the fact I plan what I eat each day is a routine I can live with and I just love it. I am now in CONTROL and the food is NOT.

Best wishes and thanks for sharing. imaluckydog

Yeah! Congratulations 20 pounds is a big deal. Yesterday I tried on jeans I haven't worn since I went to Italy 3 years ago! OMG they fit! I was one happy girl! Now if only the other 80 would go! Like you I know it will happen. I didn't realize we were so close in surgery dates. How fun we get to do this journey together.

God bless and keep up the amazing work. I hope you are proud of you because I am proud of you!

Your six months ahead of me but happy to be reading your post. We spoke before and close in age so love to hear you are doing so good. Only thing is different you work and I am retired. I have gone thru 3 appointments and 4th one next week.

So after reading how good you are doing, I can't wait to get banded.

You are doing great. Planning ahead is a good thing. I don't own a scale and will never own a scale. I only weigh in at the gym. I log my progress on Sunday's. So far, the numbers are going down and I am thrilled. Keep up the good work and keep posting. We all want to hear your progress.
