My surgery is scheduled for 3-25. I am ready to get this done and begin my new venture to my new life. Does anyone have any helpful hints or suggestions.

I am envious. I go to my surgeon's consult on 3-25. I wonder how long before it gets scheduled? I would say keep checking back with updates. We are all rooting for you and I am anxious for your tips or suggestions for me as you go along since I hope to be banded soon too. Good LUCK!!

You must be super excited. As far as advice is concerned all I have to offer is the basics... That is make sure you know what your post-op diet will be and have those things on hand, be sure you have someone home with you for the first few days as everyone's healing experience is different and you may need help getting up at the very beginning, be patient with yourself as this is a learning experience and it takes time to adjust and finally when you are only having liquids you still should be having BM at least every other day or so so pay attention (sorry if the last bit of advice is more than you wanted to know, but it is important). I am very excited and scared! I don't want to be a failure, but sometimes you can't help but let your mind wonder there. I have to stay positive and I will do great....I will definately let you know how it goes after surgery!! I had a friend just go through this and she is doing great...Had surgery on Wed and was back to work on Monday so I guess we'll see....

Thanks for the advice and I wasn't aware of the BM....I really hadn't thought about and haven't been told about it yet either. I am a very impatient person and I guess the hardest thing will be learning my limitations. Again thanks for the advice I appreciate it.
