Hello all, I got banded in April 2010. I lost a total of 42 lbs initially and i eventually lost a total of 69 lbs but the weight came off very slow and the more I got fills, the worst my experience was with the band. I'm now at my highest weight, I'm back at my starting surgery weight. I have not been able to use the band because it makes me so sick. When I do try and eat healthy, my food will get stuck and I will head to the bathroom. After that, i will eventually find something that usually lacks nutrtiional value, and that's usually something that's soft and that i can get down my band without any repurcussions. So here I am, seeking another tool in which I can use to help me get 140 lbs off. I'm very happy that i found this site. I look at it everyday. I'm trying to find hope, reassurance and all of the positive things to help me go forward. I saw the same surgeon that did my lapband on May 1st, it was very humiliating for him to see that I was one of his failures. He agreed to do my surgery, however, I have a process to go through. My family is against the sugery, they want me to get the lapband removed, however, they are against any other procedures. I will actually hide the fact that I will get the sleeve. I feel that this is what i have to do. I will be posting from now on, it has taken me a lot (i don't know why) to actually post this initial post, i've just been hanging out in here, i'd like to become more active. All of your stories have helped me. I'm almost obsessed with this forum, If anyone cane share their revision stories with me that would be great. Any advice, tips, whatever. I actually do not know my surgery date yet, but my doctor said it will not be the same process as before, it shouldn't take very long, so I will keep you all posted.
