I had the Lap Band done in late September of 2008. I lost 30 lbs, gained even more, lost 30 again, gained again and on and on. The Lap Band was a bad experience for me and ended up feeling like a cross between punishment and an eating disorder. I am having a revision to RNY on June 9th and am excited! I have a lot of experience on the Band side of things (after all, I'm almost 6 years post-band), and my doctor is confident in my ability to lose successfully with RNY.
