Hello, I had a gastric bypass on October 17, 2016.  My highest weight was 265

At first, I didn't realize just how big I was.  I still thought of myself as someone who just had a few pounds to lose.  Yes, I had to shop in plus sized stores but I secretly didn't think I looked that big.

It wasn't until a coworker who was really thin and looked amazing told me about her gastric bypass surgery.  She said she was about about my size when she had hers done- I was taken aback, how could someone MY size have bariatric surgery??

It was time for me to get a clue.  After I did I felt hopeless, like there was no way I could lose over 100 lbs.  Any time I had gone on a diet I lost weight then gained it all back +10lbs.  I felt like diabetes, chronic pain and constant sweating was all I had to look forward to.  Not to mention the fact that I felt like a 2nd class citizen due to my weight.  I began to consider surgery as a possibility and saw hope.

After 8 months of nutritionist visits, psych evals, sleep studies I made it to the end result and had gastric bypass on October 17.
