Struggled with emotional eating my entire life. Had the gastric sleeve in July 2013. Lost 58 pounds by year end. Then weight started creeping back, my own fault. Also had terrible acid reflux. Never had that before.
Finally decided to see a surgeon to discuss alternatives, actually thought there was problem with sleeve. It was as a result of the upper GI new surgeon ordered that found out the sleeve was fine but acid reflux was serious problem.
Been approved by insurance, but chickened out. Been thinking long and hard about having the bypass. Terrified of failure.
