Today is New Years Eve 2015. Can't think of a better time to start this change. My first surgery consult is this upcoming Monday, January 4. I'm so excited about the possibilities but also so nervous about my ability to not screw this up. This process is so much more mental than physical. I've already had 4 major surgeries (2 back surgeries, an appendectomy and a C-section) & I'm not afraid of being operated on but I'm terrified of failing at me. I want to free myself from the chains of emotional eating. I want to renegotiate my relationship with food. I want a do-over and I finally feel like I deserve one. Wish me luck!
