I have been considering a gastric surgery for many years but my ex-husband was laid off and we lost our insurance. We were finally able to get some towards the end of our marriage but since I wrestle with depression and anxiety, that was the first thing I wanted to work on. When we separated, my ex took me off of the policy immediately knowing that I needed the care. Now we are several years down the road, I have a degree in IT and a job of my own. I now have insurance, however, the company did not apply for the coverage even if it was medically necessary, so once again, I was on my own. I researched, went to meetings, and found out the cost of surgeries. Needless to say, I could not afford the US price, so a co-worker suggested Mexico. After a few weeks of researching, I finally picked a center to work with: ALO Bariatrics.
My surgery is on January 14, 2016 but I leave for Puerto Vallarta on Jan 10th. The people that I have been dealing with have been great and give a good amount of information but I still had/have so many questions about specifics, so I went to Google. There are tons of information out there dealing with gastric surgeries and it was hard to narrow it down, but there I found Obesity Coverage. That is where they suggested Bariatric Pal for support in all things gastric. So far, I have been pleased by everyone and everything here. The information is in depth and no questions are too small to ask.

In the suggestions above this window, it asks if we could share things about our personality for other members to get to know you. I am one of those that has a hard time "sharing." Not that I am ashamed of things or to afraid of ridicule to talk about myself, it's that I have a hard time trusting anyone. It takes a long time and many "tests" for someone to become more than just a casual acquaintance. However, once a person gets to that point, I am one of those friends that will do anything for a friend and loyal to a fault. I know that I am worth it and don't apologize for my high standards. This opinion of myself hasn't always been but when I got divorced, I evaluated everything about me. It took many years to change the things I wanted to change and I still have some things to work on but I am finally able to say that I love who I am and who I am going to be. And if someone wants to be in my life as more than a passing glance, then they need to be able to handle the tests.
