Hey guys... My names is Jessica.. I am a 28 yo mother of 3. This is very new to me and I am very nervous. Especially for me to say. I have been a little overweight a lot of my life... Especially when I got older. When I was 21 I gave birth to my oldest daughter and weighed the most at that time at 220 lbs. My weight has been up and down since then.. but definitely up the whole time. 220 to 240 to 230 to 260...etc... for the past Year and a half I had a serious turn in my life.(january '14) It was very difficult for me to really do anything. I was helpless and could barely take care of my kids. I had serious pain all over my body that even if I moved a little it would hurt... My husband has been very helpful to me and the kids. I really couldn't brush my hair because my arms would barely bend all the way or straighten...my husband had to brush my hair, help me shower, i couldn't even put on my shoes because I couldn't bend over very far. And when it was really at its worse I could barely hold my kids. I couldn't even work anymore. I found out with numerous doctor appointments that I have an arthritis in my lower back called ankylosing spondilytis... and on top of that i have terrible fibromyalgia... Around this time my grandfather had passed away. Which put me in a states of depression because of how close i am to my grandparents. I have gained a lot more weight since then. With high dosage treatments and medicines i have become a lot more mobile... pain but not as much pain. Recently this year my grandmother passed... and this event it has become even harder to deal with the fact that both of my grandparents are gone... From this i have gained even more weight. 270 lbs... this is the highest weight i have been in my life. I know for a long time since i was younger I've tried many diets and home diets... pills, exercise (which right now being over weight and having my medical conditions i really cant exercise without having pain), I have tried smoothies and eating healthy has not helped for me to lose weight. It is very hard for me physically to keep up with everything i have going in my life and to even keep up with the household chores. Anything you can believe with have 3 kids. My oldest is 7 yo girl, 3 yo boy, and 2 yo girl. So you can imagine the mess they make, alongside of normal chores and on top trying to care for myself. Recently I have been inquiring on having gastric bypass surgery. I have been to the endocrinologist and they approved me seeing the surgeon. So has my primary doctor and rheumatologist. I have my first seminar coming up 9/23 and i'm very excited and nervous at the same time. And i meet the surgeon for the first time on 10/1. I have made this page to add a bunch of people who have had the surgery or is going through the process as I am now to learn and better myself and also make a few friends on the way. When I am ready I will start keeping updates on youtube also. My email is jviruet330@gmail.com please subscribe when i get start to get things updated. Please keep in touch. God Bless.
