Hello everybody. My name is Tonya. On 3/09/16 I had my surgery for gastric bypass. I was so excited in the beginning I'm always full of energy and ready to go. I did not have a great experience while I was in the hospital. My p.m. nurse was a bitch. This might seem a little too much information for some people but now I realize what it means to have a ball sack. You know that little thing that sucked out the fluid. LOL. Now to get more serious stuff.
I didn't realize the surgery was going to be so difficult. At least for me I had a lot of pain which I'm sure everybody did too. Finley when I came home I did not want to move but I have an extraordinary roommate that kept me walking . Which is more than I can say for the PM nurse. After the first week I was doing pretty well sipping my meals and taking it one day at a time. I have a really hard time with the Dilaudid they gave me in the hospital my BM the worst ever I've had in my life. It did not make it easy to go to the bathroom and have that pain in the tummy too. I went to work the following week Friday. The next week I did pretty well kind of weak tired but still was able to function on my job with little pain. Well unfortunately the last day of March I got the flu. And so I've been drained again. Suture scars are looking very good I'm down 40 pounds. And looking forward to the next 50 or 60. I still don't have my full composure and the energy that I wish to have. But I did go for a bike ride yesterday. That was my very first workout since the surgery. I am now eating salad with chicken and fruit it was delicious and I'm feeling better now from the flu. It's Monday morning the 4th of April and Wednesday will be a full month. That's my story.
