Hello everyone!  I am currently two weeks post op and I found this website by searching on Facebook for Bariatric groups.  Ever since I had my first child, I started to put on a tremendous amount of weight no matter how much I would limit my food intake I would gain.  Doctors tried to figure out why but could not come up with anything and instead placed me on water pills.  They did not help.  I went to by obgyn to see if there was a female related reason and he suggested bariatric surgery.  I never thought about it before, and I was not sure I wanted to go down the road.  I went home and researched and decided to go for it.  I want to be healthy for my family.  I want to go hiking, be able to walk all over Disneyland, etc. like I used too.  So here, I am post op and excited for my life to change.  I hope to benefit from BariatricPal for peer support and to know that I am not alone in this journey.
