I have been overweight since the age of 9.  In 1999, I topped out at 283.  In 2014, I weighed 263.  My first PCP visit, I weighed 257 and the first surgeon visit, I was 252.  My surgery was October 22, 2014, at Baylor-Carrollton, Tx.  Dr Frank Veninga performed the surgery and did a great job.  I have had no problems healthwise.  On my six month visit in April, I weighed 184, so officially down 68 pounds.  In the four months since then, I have only lost 10 additional pounds for a total of 78 pounds siince surgery. Since I carried extra weight so long, there is a lot of loose skin that I do not plan to have surgically removed, so that is probably an extra 5-10 pounds(?) I am lugging around.  I still cannot eat very much at a time and have no problem with food at breakfast and lunch.  But in the evening I have been eating supper between 5 and 6 and then something else a little later.  I usually go to bed at 10pm and get up at 6:30am.  I got a dog in June and we go walking most mornings before it gets too hot.  I turned 70 in August, am 5'3" and currently weigh 174.  When I married at 19, I weighed 160, so I have never been a small person.
I am now 10 months out from gastric sleeve.  I came to this support site to see if I am measuring up to where I should be at 10 months out.  Also, to see how others handle the weight loss slow-down after the initial period where the weight just seemed to melt away.  I just don't want to "mess up" a good thing.
