Getting ready to change my life! I'm a low BMI (34) and was a slender person until I was about forty. Then weight starting to creep up on me. Four weeks before my 50th birthday I had to have my thyroid removed. It's been hell ever since! I'm 5'6", weigh 204, and have HBP, high cholesterol, high triglycerides, and severe sleep apnea. Insurance says I'm 7 pounds below their allowance but I refuse to cave into their stupid demands, so I'm self paying. In Reno NV it costs about $14,000. I have all my pre-op requirements done, so now I'm just waiting for the doctor's scheduler to call me for my VSG date. I'm so nervous!
