HI Everyone! 
 
I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes about 3 years ago.  I was in denial and did not take my metformin. This was more due to the fact that I thought I could loose weight on my own and be diabetic free.  Boy was I wrong.  When my A1C went from 6.4 to 8.7,  I freaked out.  See, everyone in my family has diabetes and most of them have become insulin dependent.  Needles and I don't get along and I was not about to start injecting myself.  On top of my Diabetes, I have High Cholesterol, Diverticulosis and PCOS.  
 
I started looking into the sleeve in 2013, but at the time had too many female issues that had to be resolved first.  Those issues were resolved in 2014, and finally, on April 21, 2015, I had my gastric sleeve surgery.  I have been a little hungry.  Only drinking water and protein shakes the first 2 weeks are hard.  Constipation has been a huge issue.  But, these are all things I need to resolve.
