Hi all Lori here.  My surgery date is set for February 11, 2015.  My journey started a year ago when my doctor suggested WLS.  I was very upset at the suggestion but I told my primary I would think about it.  I did some serious soul searching and finally decided in September that WLS was an option afterall.  I finished all my pre op testing and nutrition counseling.  I know quite a few people who have had surgery so I feel like I am well prepared.  Things I am excited about range from hiking, skydiving and dancing to not worrying about airplane seatbelts or tight parking spots.  I am looking forward to a lifetime of activity instead of finding excuses because I am self conscious or physically incapable of activity being done.  Not sure what else to say at this point, I have enjoyed reading posts daily and figured it was time to dive into the group. :D
