Hi! My name is Aimee and I am 28 and live in Texas.
 
I decided to get the gastric sleeve because I have been overweight since my late teens and at my age I already have pre-diabetes and blood pressure issues. I knew it was time to do something!
 
I just had my surgery on December 2, 2014 and I was soo excited! I pretty much knew what to expect because my best friend just had the same surgery 4 months prior and she talked me into it!
 
I knew it wouldn't be easy as I have seen her struggles, it took time to put it on and I know it will take time and effort to get it off.
 
So far I am 2 weeks post-op and I am having a hard time! Luckily my surgeon was unlike any other. I did not have a pre-op diet and I started on soft mushie foods on he 7th day following my surgery.
 
I hope that I can find some friends on here that can help with advice and struggles as I reach those issues. Since my best friend is so new too...we are like the blind leading the blind!
