Hi!  My name is Cindi.  I am at the very beginning of my weight loss journey.  This is my second time starting the journey.  The first time I told my family about my thoughts and they weren't supportive and I allowed them to rule my decision.  That was 4 years ago and I'm starting over again.  It's time I need to think about what is right for me and my health.  ... I meet with my surgeon for the first time next week (01/02/15), his team suggested I join BariatricPal .  I'm glad I did.  There are very supportive people here and I appreciate/need that! 
 
In April 2014 I weighed 306 -the most I've ever weighed.  My primary doctor suggested I consider WLS.  7 months later in November, 2014 I weighed 300 after dieting and walking - I asked her to help me get the ball rolling for WLS.  Within a couple weeks I went to an orientation meeting, a support meeting and met with the Bariatric Surgery Team! 
 
My goal weight is 150.  something I haven't seen in almost 30 years!  I am afraid of failing, but with this great support group and the support group in my area that fear will be something I hope to one day laugh about!
