My name is Alexa, I am 34 and have always struggled with weight despite a very regular exercise routine and healthy diet.  After several doctors told me I would be a good candidate for bariatric surgery, I looked into it.  I had to do a 6 month medically supervised diet and am approved at last!  I just started my pre-op liver shrinking diet yesterday October 28th and my surgery is scheduled for November 11th.  I am having the gastric sleeve done.  I am excited but I am a little scared I will be sick and nauseous for a long time.  I am trying to stay focused on the positives and have high hopes that by this time next year I will be elated I chose to go through with it.  Until then I will be on here a lot reading from others experiences!
