I have been heavy pretty much my whole life. I have had doctors recommend bariatric surgery since i was 18 years old. It was only after ten years of horrible pain and one failed back surgery later that I decided to go through with the RNY at the age of 29. I made the decision o go through with it in March of 2014 and was able to have the procedure 3 months later, after losing 50 lbs prior to the surgery. I am not without complications, and am hoping to find friends and support and answers from here. I work at a busy animal hospital, where i have been for 11 years now. I have a very supportive family and a wonderful caring boyfriend who have seen me through this journey. I have two dogs, an annoying bossy cat and a very cool goat.
