My Name is Shawnee. I am 41 years old and have one 16-year-old daughter and a wonderful husband. I have struggled with weight my entire life. At one point I just decided to accept myself and live with the fact that I will always be pleasantly plump. However, the last couple of years have changed my mind. My body aches all the time. My energy level is very low and I find it very hard to lose any weight since I turned 40. I have been on and off diets and pills for years. I am ready to make a permanent change. I want this for my health more than looks, although the looks are a definite perk. I've always been the chubby girl with a pretty face. Everyone who knows me believes my confidence is through the roof. What they do not know is the weight is always on my mind. Everything I think and do seems to revolve around my body and my weight, It is definitely an obsession that I want to kick! I began exploring weight loss surgery May of this year and was finally approved on November 14, 2014. I am so excited I can barely think of anything else.
