So here goes I started this process 6 months ago and yesterday I finally got my date, it is August 25th. My surgeon is doing a robotic gastric sleeve. I am not nervous about the surgery at all. I had a double mastectomy 8 years ago with reconstruction a doubt anything could be much worse than that. So I am prepared for that. I do have a question for you. Were you ever required to have a pre op meeting? I was required to have a two hour pre op counseling with a room full of other people who were also going through this process. I am a very private person and I DID NOT want to go to this meeting. What happened to HIPPA? It's really no ones business what type of surgery I am having. I don't mind on here because none of you know me. But this meeting was at my doctors office. I just didn't like it. And the meeting was repeating everything that the NUT and doctor told me in the last 6 months.
