About Me

Hi Everyone. I'm new to this site and new to this process. I've been thinking about bariatric surgery for a while, but just kept believing I would be able to do it on my own, or for the shame of it being the "easy way" out. Let me tell you there is nothing easy about deciding to have this procedure. It's actually the most difficult thing I've ever had to do. My husband has been very supportive, but believe me this wasn't his 1st choice, but has come around to...if it will make you healthier and happier...I'm with you! I'm looking forward to more energy and the ability to do more things with my 4 year old son and my husband.

We, Me and my husband , went to our 1st seminar the 1st of April. Since then, I have had an upper GI, received clearance from my primary care, 1 out of 3 nutritional and fitness visits, a visit to the cardiologist and the 26th of June I see the pulmonary specialist and finally the therapist on July 2nd. If all goes well, I would like to schedule my surgery for the last week of October or the 1st week in November. Some days I'm excited and other days I'm nervous.

Right now my struggle is motivation to lose some weight prior to the procedure. I will be having the gastric sleeve. I'm looking for a Mentor and Motivator.

Thanks so much for this group of people!
