About Me

My name is Georgia and I am new to he site. I have been battling with being overweight my whole life, but the last 5 years has been the worse. I recently was diagnosed as being post menopausal at the ripe age of 30... and have ovarian failure leaving me unable to conceive and have biological children. My body does not produce hormones, and I have an extremely difficult time losing weight . Only way I can lose is with extreme dieting, but once stopped... I gain it right back. I completely changed all my habits over the last few years and that doesnt help either. I have a friend who has RnY in 8/2012 and she has been an inspiration to me. She has talked to me about looking into it to aide in feeling better about myself both mentally and physically. My joints hurt , especially my hips, I am fatigued all the time, headaches and just all around depressed. I recently went to a weight loss seminar and have been researching options for a little over a year now. My husband just got a job with insurance that will cover WLS at 85% so I am now getting serious about having it done. My consult is on May 5th at Rockwood clinic in Spokane WA. I am anxious , nervous, excited all at the same time. Could this really be? I know that this is a tool to go along with lifestyle changes that will help me lose weight, and feel better both physically and mentally. I am looking for anyone who would be willing to chat and give me advice along the way. I am not sure whether or not I will be doing Sleeve or RNY. My Dr says RNY all the way, and I will have better results.. but the whole re routing of intestines wierds me out.. but having 85% of my stomach removed... wierds me out too... Thanks ahead of time for reading this. God Bless
