I found Bariatric Pal nearly 3 years ago when I began my journey to get insurance approval for a Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy. I was then denied by my insurance company due to a lack of comorbidities and not having a high enough BMI for long enough. I am once again seeking approval, this time having had a BMI over 40 for 4 years and now with one treated comorbidity of hypertension. I have received insurance approval and will be sleeved April 8th! Stay tuned for more of my story!
