I am a 30 year old woman who has ALWAYS had struggles with her weight.
 
I have always ben the fat girl,  through primary school up until today. I was often ridiculed by aunts and uncles, and school mates.
 
I struggled in my teens the most, I was self destructing, isolating myself from everyone and everything.
 
I started martial arts at 15 years old and lost 20 kgs. then at 16 i went overseas with my family and when i cam back depression hit me. I put on 60kgs in less than a year.
 
I went from 90 kgs to 150 in  a matter of a few  years. I gave up on everything.
 
in 2009 i started going to the gym again, and my old personal trainner saw me and insisted i join up with him. In the next 3 years i got down to 78kgs. In that time i was training 4 hours a day and i was taking strong diet pills. I started self medicating.
 
I woke up one morning after my grandfather passed away, and i had no interest in any of it. No diet, no pills, no excersise. nothing. From that day i started to pile on the kilos. i reached 185 kilos before  i started to have health scares. and that when i decided to get surgery done.
 
My surgeon didnt allow me to go through with it until i realised and confronted wht the real issues were/are. I went through therapy, and i still pay visits from time to time. in a matter of 2 years i have lost 57 kilos and now i have plataued. I am hoping to find my motivation again soon as i am engaged and getting married in march next year.  I would love to have a family, so losing another 20-30 kilos would do me a world of good.
 
My long term goals are to be healthy for my children and to teach them healthy habbits by being a good examlpe.... this is a long journey but with the right support i think anything is possible.
