I began trying to lose weight in 1999' after the death of our daughter and my largest weight gain ever. Speed forward to 2012, after attempting to lose weight following every diet available. My doctor recommended surgery, I wanted bypass, family and friends wanted one of the others. Insurance would not cover sleeve, therefore I had the lap band surgery in January 23, 2013. Began at weight of 264, now 226 and going down!! Very happy.
