I am open to all comments questions anything you wanna know ask go ahead. I just ask that you respect me and what I post and I will respect you. So let's get started.
Hi Everyone!
My name is Christina and I started my lap-band journey a year ago just by learning more about it. I was official banded on the 26 of March this year and let me tell you it hasn't all been a walk in the park but everyday is a new chapter in this book called life. As far as weight goes all I can say is that mines has been up and down for years. I delt with depresstion for some time so due to that made my weight increase and decrease. After being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and having a long history of knee pain, I decided to start my lap band journey after thinking and meeting with some of the top bariatric surgeons in Long Island NY! I just know in my mind that this was right for me. After meeting with Dr. Medhat Allam who is chief director at Southampton Hospital bariatric I know that this was going to be the best life changing event in my life. So now I'm been banded for a few months now and I feel amazing. I have a reason to live now I'm doing everything to lose the weight and keep it off. Everyday is a new chapter and a new lesson learned. Since my surgery I do not have type two diabetes but I do still check my sugars and visit the dr to make sure that I still have it under control. I have a great support system and I know I am not the only one that is doing this, I to have good days & bad days but I do not let them way me down I hold my head up high.
