So yesterday (3/27/12) was my birthday, and a NEW begining. I got banded 3/27/12. My surgery time was 7:30, but i had to be at the hospital by 5:30 so we had to leave around 4am because the hospital i went to is out of town. I wasnt nervous, i gues i could say i was anxious to just get on the table and finally get the band haha. In the back of my head i had a fear that i wouldnt wake up:/ Idk just a tad fear. Over all everything went great. This has been an amazing experience and its only the begining XD After surgery i could not talk regularly because of the breathing tube they had in my throat. Also i cried cried when i woke up:/ (i have ALWAYS woke up crying for my mama after every surgery lol) I cried cause my mama walked in and i was happy she was with me AND because i was in pain. It hurt so bad when i moved so they gave me morphine and it knocked me out. I would wake up and stay up for like 5 mins then go right back to sleep (i was so uncomfortable). I had to stay 1 night and that 1 i only had 2 shots of morphine. It hurt when i coughed moved.. It just hurt. It hurts even now DX Im at home now in my bed Im happy because for a whole year i have went through alot to get here where i am today(: So im grateful for everything and everyone expecially for God(: (i prayed every night asking for the and finally i got the call saying my insurance is going to cover it) Right now im STILL on a liquid diet >_> but im ok. I dont really feel anything in me i guess be cause the pain from the cut. But im not really hungry and i have only eaten 2 times today. Not really considered "meals" when i got home ive really been drinking ALOT of 2 percent milk. (i LOVE milk) I have not thrown up, i haven't felt like it either. And even when i got carried away drinking gulps of milk after one of the other (HABIT) i didnt feel anything odd. As of now i am trying to be careful about drinking. But for those of you who are on the liquid diet or not what kind of protein product could i use? Like protein drink. I still have ALOT of bariatric meal replacements left but im completely done with it. So i think im gunna try to find a new brand thats gooood XD So any suggestions? Well i think thats all i wanted to get out XD Sorry its kinda long

The title saids it all. I see that alot of people dont have to go on the liquid diet before hand, or they are on a low fat diet something very different from the liquid diet. Bascially though what is the liquid diet for?? How will they know if you've faithfully been on nothing but the liquid diet????

Lol piece, slice same thing. But i think ill be fine since it was only once and it was yesterday AND my surgery isnt until another week. Cant wait though. So one more day means you have your surgery in one more day?? Haha i can relate i want stuff i dont even eat:/

The paper i got from my doctors only had bariatric and another brand like it. And also i can eat 0sugar popsicles and 0sugar Jello, and chicken broth (tasted it hated it) and tomato soup:/ I dont like any of these. (other than the popsicles and jello but i cant live off of that) and i paid 105 for my bariatric meals so i have no choice sadly:/

Its just i would want anything like eating 1 peice of cornbread (couldnt help myself lmao) come between finally getting my surgery DX I think im ok now.. But thanks anyway(:

Ok so im freaking out like last night i broke down and ate something that wasnt my liquid food i have the surgery on the 27th and i get blood work done this monday. Will they know if i DO NOT do it again?!!? I didnt mean to its just soo hard but worth it which is why im not doing it again i just broke.. Im only human. But will they know????

Well got accepted monday XD Yesterday i started my liquid diet. My surgery date is march 27th which BTW is MY birthday XD So im extremely excited(: Im soo soo happy. Any other march bandsters OR bandsters to be?? (:

Ok i have questions!! Im hungry atm about to eat sugar free jello Yeah had to put that out there lol. Basically i started my liquid diet yesterday. My surgery is on my birthday which is the 27th of this month XD So i have basically a week left.. Well im wondering what YOU ate on your liquid diet or if your on it now. Include drinks too XD Im asking cause i HATE this stuff i have to eat. Its bariatric food replacements. Basically nasty smoothies :/ Im truthful haha. I have one back thats strawberry the other is orange cream which is new. They are both nastyish to me but over all i choice the strawberry flavor one. In the begining i thought paying 105 for that it would taste decent/good but i was wrong Also i was told to ONLY drink water/crystal light and water with mio. But i have ALWAYS drink diet limpton green tea which is 0 calories. The nutritionist said it had a little bit of something in it (to be honest i forgot what she said it was. I think it was sodium). But i miss it DX Is it possibly ok if i drink it?? Well i think thats all now im gunna go starve DX Peacee and speak(:

Haha not a "date date" but a DATE XD I got a call monday telling me my insurance accepted everything and is going to pay for my surgery (: Im soo soo happy. I got to decide when i wanted my surgery too. Im getting it 3/27 which is MY birthday(: I really really cant wait. Im on the liquid diet until then, i started it today and atm im trying to gulp down this nasty strawberry flavored "food" its not good at all.. But i gotta eat it:/ Well i just wanted to share my good news(:

Ok so i went to see my surgeon today to get a schedule for my EGD (which is next thurs XD) and talk about alot of things. Just to put it out there i will get a date he said around the middle or end of march OR early april. Lol sorry had to share that XD But back on topic. I got like 3 papers today. One shows all the complications that can happen during surgery, and after.. Theres death of course. And of course in the back of my mind im paranoid about that.. But really i dont like the hair loss one.. What are my chances of actually losing my hair or it thinning?? And what causes it? Is there any way to prevent it? Im soo worried because i damaged my hair alot in the past and at 18 its FINALLY growing back XD Its grown back alot its past my shoulders touching my back. I dont wanna sound stupid but i have tried so hard to get my hair back to where it is now so im like ehhhh.... Regardless i will not let that stop me from getting my surgery. But have you had hair loss or thinning? Jw. Or maybe you haven't? Hmm. Sorry for sounding weird just ehh:/
