I have struggled with my weight all of my life. Although, I never had a specific eating disorder such as bulemia or anorexia, I felt like I had been on a diet since I was 14. My whole family has always struggled with obesity. My mom started putting me on fad diets as early as middle school. I remember starting out with deal-a-meal from Richard Simmons when I was in sixth grade and sweating to the oldies with her every night. Then in seventh grade it was Tae Bo. Eight grade brought the cabbage soup diet - after a month of that one I ended up in the emergency room. I had the symptoms of appendicitis but it ended up being gas from malnutrition and too much cabage. In ninth grade, I was on Atkins - again - ended up at the doctor sick from not eating properly. Tenth and Eleventh grade I took off from dieting and gained and gained and gaind weight until I was a size 26. Somewhere around the end of eleventh grade, I discovered stacker 2 with ephedra. The person who sold it to me (even though i was underage) recommended that I combine caffiene pills with it to lose weight even faster. WOW! Did that work?! I used this for about 6 months and lost about 120 lbs and got down to a size 12. I stayed there through most of my senior year. Then off to college ... I gained everything back and then some. Since college, I have been on the yo yo diets again - Weight Watchers, any pill I could think of from GNC, Atkins, and at times nothing at all. Finally, I decided that I was going to make a permanent change for my 30th birthday. So, on April 11, 2011, 11 days before I turned 30 I had my lapband surgery.
