Traveling caused Lap-Band tightness

3 posts in this topic

Im from Arizona and traveled to Utah, Colorado and Wyoming in one week. I couldn't eat and could barely drink. I am home now and thought it would get better but things are the same. Now I have acid reflux at night and all day. I hate this. I've lost weight but it's Water I know I'm dehydrated. I'm going to the Dr tomorrow but I'm concerned that getting Fluid removed will cause me to gain and I've worked so hard. Has anyone ever had issues with traveling and your band tightening?

Yes, its related to a change in the air pressure (barometric??) kinda like the effects that pressure change has on some heart patients and asthma sufferers. It's very annoying, but it usually only takes a few days for mine to normalize. I considered it a free fill :) Maybe your Dr. can take out just enough fluid to relief some of the pressure. Good luck!
