2 weeks post op and FREAKING OUT!

Recommended Posts

I lost 3 kilos the week before surgery and 4 kilos the week following surgery. I am now 2 weeks post op and have lost nothing at all this week. In fact, it looks like I have gained a pound!!! Is this normal? A stall? Am I failing at this????

Somebody out there who has experienced the same? How long must I wait before I get a fill?

You're not up fat lbs - just Water. It's very nerve wracking but try and relax - stress won't help and may actually cause more water retention. It could be a stall (very common) or you may be getting your period, constipated, had too much sodium, not getting az much fluids as usual!

I did the same thing sw 251 week one 244. Then down to 242 by the end of week 2 back up to 245. End of week there as of today down again 239. I swelled the second week. My ring wouldn't even fit I got at the start of week 2

OMG...I'm freaking out as well. I'm a little over 2 weeks out and haven't lost an ounce in the last 6 days. I'm still on liquids, getting all my Protein and fluids. It's SOOO frustrating!

I always go up and down. I just keep following the program...if I stay away from the scale when this is happening, I get less emotional. Weight loss is not always constant. If you gain 15lbs, then I might worry...but up and down a couple lbs doesn't mean anything is wrong.

Hurrah! The scale finally moved after nearly 2 weeks of NOT MOVING AN INCH! Down 3 lbs, BAM! in 2 days. Thanks for the encouragement guys. Go in for my first fill in 1 week. Had my surgery Oct 10th, so counting the week before surgery I am down18lbs. I shouldn't complain I guess. I'm 5'10, starting weight 243 now 225. I would love to get down to 155lbs. We'll see...

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!

      Today was rough...
I've been experiencing a headache all day today that just won't go away. I'm thinking it's now progressing into a migraine. Does anyone else get headaches from taking vitamin B12? I did some research and learned that usually a lack of B12 causes headaches. But I've noticed when I take it, I have reoccurring headaches. 😫
