YOU!!! You are one of the main reasons I'm here where I'm at today!! You encouraged me when I thought I had nothing left!! When I still couldn't walk because of much pain I was in even after surgery because of my sciatica. You pushed me through and you brightened every day after surgery!!! I love you so much Jen!! With my whole heart and I couldn't have done this without you!!! I am proud of US!!! We did it!!!

I had back surgery in December. Herniated disc pushing on sciatic nerve between L4 L5 S1. I am 495 lbs and a truck driving instructor at the time. That pain is nothing I wish on anyone. They never offered weight loss surgery as the option. I was already working on approval for it and they still said I needed back surgery. They said I had "the largest herniated did they have ever seen" go big or go home right lol. Back surgery did me well but I am getting sleeved in about a month. I'm glad that surgery worked for you for the back.

      Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
