How to know if you've had gastric bypass (Funny)

You live in Texas and for the first time in your life you have SWEATERS on your Christmas list!!!!

You go through the drive through at Sonic and when asked "Do you want the foot long or regular size?" you immediately come to the rationalization that there is NO WAY you can finish the foot long!

Merry Christmas Ya All and God Bless!!!!

I had a GVS but I can relate! My fanny hurts from sitting. Never in a billion years did I ever think those words would come from me. I can still compete with Kim Kardashian but as I shrink my bones are telling me not to sit long. Thats a good thing! ☺️????☺️

Liprippa, I can so relate to sweaters in Texas. I live in the Waco area and it was 50 degrees outside when I went for my walk this morning. I was wearing a jacket, knit hat and gloves! I'm 12 days post-op and haven't felt warm yet! I expect that as the weight comes off the cold feeling will only get worse. I may actually have to buy a real coat this year!

Oh the cold! I live in MICHIGAN and had surgery in November!!!! I wish I had known better, I should have done this in July! I have to wear double socks, one pair for hunting just to go see a movie. I am constantly under a heated blanket at home, and I now wear three layers to leave the house. I have an outdoor job so I am dreading my return to work.

Me too. I am always cold! I find myself crawling under the covers earlier too. Just freezing!

I can relate to both the cold and the sore rear! I live in Minnesota and let me tell you, I have had a heated blanket in my living room since 2 weeks post op. I am always freezing. My behind gets sore, what the heck! I have lost about 65lbs so far but I still have some junk in my trunk, I do not understand why my butt hurts. I have a 6 hour drive home from Wisconsin to Minneapolis tomorrow and my rear is already sore????

Same here! Yesterday our furnace quit working and it was 52 in our house!!! I wouldn't get out from under my blanket until the furnace had been repaired!!!

LOL I agree with the above statements it is if your cushon is gone, I normally sleep on my side but can not any longer because my bones hurt as well as sit to long my butt hurts. I am always cold and wear clothes in layers as well as I have a blanket and heater in my office at work.

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
