Any luck with Peer to Peer evaluation?

I just got denied because they are not accepting my BMI of 37 with my illnesses because they don't fall into their list of approved comorbits. I have fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, Sjogren's Syndrome, Relapsing Polychondritis, gastroparesis, and degenerative disk disease. But because I don't have high blood pressure or diabetes, I'm not "sick" enough.

My doctor is going to do a peer to peer. I'm just wondering if there's ANY chance of getting approved?

Sorry to hear. I'm in the same boat, bmi 37.5. Waiting to hear from the surgeon about what to do

Different set of circumstances, but my Dr had to do a peer to peer after my denial, and it went great. Once he was able to speak with and explain the Doctor at the insurance company it was approved and I got my surgery date scheduled within 3 weeks of that phone conversation. Good luck to you. I remember how stressful the waiting is. Hang in there!
